We are looking for a Contracts and Commercial Manager to join our team to work on an exciting rail project in the Midland area as part of works delivering and commissioning new facilities and infrastructure for the PTA. The project includes the construction of earthworks, drainage, electrical, building and rail infrastructure. Working in metropolitan Perth this is an exciting project for an experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager to join our team.**Responsibilities Include**
- Management, coordination and delivery of procurement activities to projects in region
- Manage and lead commercial aspects of contract negotiations and disputes with the customer and subcontractors as applicable.
- Attend end of Month Project Reviews with the Project Manager and contribute to reviewing key trends, identifying cost control issues and ensure key risk and revenue opportunities are being addressed and managed.
- Review subcontract, supplier and consultant contract forms ensuring appropriate forms are utilised and project specific commercial terms are duly incorporated as required.
- Manage delivery of cost savings targets (currently minimum 5%) against project budgets for project procured items.
- Ensure that financial reporting and forecasting (including cashflow) of the project is accurate and provide advice on the profitability of the project on a monthly basis or such other period as may be required by the Project Manager from time to time.
- Ensure appropriate RACI matrix is in place to properly define responsibility and accountability for commercial activities within the project

**About You**
- Tertiary Qualifications in Finance, Accountancy, Law, Quantity Surveying or similar and/or substantial senior Contract Administration experience
- Minimum of ten years' experience in local and international procurement with exposure to an engineering, construction, project or heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Relevant industry knowledge desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of a variety of the Contracts and Subcontracts adopted by the Company.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual/legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem solving techniques.
