We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, coal mining, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground industry.

Reporting to the General Manager of Raiseboring, Redpath Mining are seeking an experienced Raisedrill Safety and Training Coordinator to be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and management of all Health, Safety & Training requirements for the Raiseboring division based in our Eagle Farm Office.

Roster: Monday to Friday with Substantial Travel

**About the role**

As a Raisedrill Safety & Training Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities shall include the following as a minimum:

- Ensure employees comply with Redpath Australia’s management operation procedures (MOP’s);
- Review and develop Technical and Standard Working Procedures as required;
- Actively participate in safety leadership based activities including task observation and work place inspections and raise corrective actions to address sub standard conditions or behaviours;
- Actively participate in and comply with the site leadership program, record and report the results of these inspections and implement corrective actions as required to minimise risks/hazards;
- Conduct group safety meetings and compile meeting minutes;
- Conduct risk assessments with the Client at site start ups;
- Perform relief duties throughout the raiseboring division as required;
- Implement control measures onsite to reduce hazards in the working environment;
- Review and recommend new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees;
- Carry out site inductions for new employees and visitors;
- Through the on-site training system, ensure theory and competency assessments are conducted and recorded;
- Maintain the site training matrices;
- Coordinate and maintain the Hazardous Substances Registers and be the Hazardous Substances responsible person;
- Assist in the Management of onsite Injury Management processes and liaise with the Redpath Injury Management/Rehabilitation Coordinator, Medical Professionals and Work Cover;
- Report immediately any incidents, accidents or near misses;
- Ensure all incidents are reported and investigations are carried out on all medium and high rated incidents that occur on site within the designated time frames;
- Attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required;
- Any other duties that Redpath may direct you to perform, which you are capable of performing.
