Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories, and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.

**About the role**

We are looking for enthusiastic Merchandise Sorters to join us in our Distribution Centre and work as part of a great team quality grading, categorising, and packing a large volume of donated and new clothing and accessories. If you have a love of fashion and everything retail then this could the perfect role for you

The role reports to the Merchandise Sorting Team Leader to ensure a consistent supply of quality merchandise that meets stores requirements.

**What you will bring**
- Appreciation of quality control standards and processes
- Experience in a warehouse environment essential
- Previous fashion retail experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of Australian fashion industry and brands
- Experience working both independently and within a team; experience working with volunteers would be an advantage
- Detail-oriented, organised and efficient
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels and communicate effectively

**Further information**

This role is covered by the Storage Services and Wholesale Award - Level 2. Hourly rate of $23.51316 + casual loading ($29.39145 inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation + salary packaging.
