**Role Summary**
The Environmental Services Practice Lead will collaborate with AtkinsRéalis ANZ Market Leads to pinpoint service lines that align with AtkinsRéalis’ strategic offerings and positioning. They will devise a growth plan to enhance the capability to execute these service lines, closely collaborating with global centres of excellence to optimise delivery strategies.
Additionally, this role entails overseeing productivity targets, resource management, and recruitment efforts. The Environmental Services Practice Lead will also prioritise quality assurance and develop professional development pathways for their teams, with a strong emphasis on achieving technical excellence. Key responsibilities encompass, but are not restricted to:
- Accountable for leadership, setting & delivering a growth strategy, operational success of the Environmental business unit, focusing on business development and customer relationship building.
- Externally the Environmental Services Practice Lead will raise AtkinsRéalis’ market profile, nationally, regionally and locally through specific client relationships.
- Develop and Implement work winning strategies with the Engineering & Design Practice Director.
- Work closely with the E&D Practice Director to understand the Market Sector strategies and to develop resource strategies which respond and meet the needs of both current and future pipeline of work.
- Lead and direct the deployment of Environmental resources and teams to support both regional and national projects, efficiently and effective.
- Develop a learning culture, promote knowledge sharing and innovation and actively share and drive embedding new ideas.
- Lead and support the technical development of staff within the practice teams to drive technical excellence, knowledge sharing, process standardisation and optimisation.
**Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities**
- Bachelor's degree in field of practice. Post graduate degree preferred.
- Proven business management and leadership skills within an Environmental or multi-disciplined consultancy organisation and capable of managing a team and motivating others to achieve business targets.
- Financially and commercially astute, with previous management experience of budgeting and forecasting and profit and loss management.
- Results oriented and extensive project management experience in ensuring work is delivered on time and to budget.
- Experience in business development and tendering for major projects in the Environmental market.
- Strong service delivery orientation and a commitment to achieving technical excellence.
