**What you'll be doing**:

- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Home Support Services within allocated geographical regions ensuring operations are consistent with Council and Government policies, National Service Standards and accepted professional best practice.
- Monitor performance of Home Support Services within allocated geographical regions against internal and external service targets and lead the implementation of inclusive processes to ensure targets are achieved.
- Establish and promote a culture of trust, respect, client focus, collaboration, and innovation across Aged and Disability Services.
- Provide effective leadership and foster a positive workplace culture.
- In collaboration with Coordinator Home Support Services, recruit and orientate appropriately skilled and experienced staff, ensuring individuals are developed and coached to achieve their potential.
- Manage Home Support Services within allocated geographical regions in accordance with available resources and funding guidelines.
- Contribute to and participate in research, surveys, and benchmarking to plan for future service requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, fostering an understanding of their needs and aspirations in order to explore options and develop actions that will best meet their needs.
- Actively and positively promote processes and systems which ensure effective teamwork
- Support and promote collaborative relationships between service providers for the benefit of people using services.
- Stay abreast of current information affecting broad service provision through reading and networking.

**Key skills and experience you'll bring to the role**:

- Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or Human Services, or a related field, and experience in working with older people and people with disabilities in a home or community setting; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in working with older people and people with disabilities in a home or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Package Program. (HCP)
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and support staff.
- Ability to lead change and introduce, implement, and monitor continuous quality improvement.
- You will have a proven ability to gain cooperation and communicate with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
