**Annex Optics **is now looking for an experienced Telecommunication Linesworker to join their team
- Dug trenches and holes to install internet service lines to new commercial and residential areas.
- Highly proficient fiber optic technician efficiently installing fiber optic lines, performing general maintenance and responding to repair requests.
- Install 24, 48, 96, 192 fiber cables in ODF cabinets.
- Prepared and terminated fiber optic cables, connectors, mechanical and fusion splicing of fiber
- Optic cables from POP to customers.
- Repaired faults on existing fiber optics networks by using pigtails and fusion splicers, patch
- cords.
- Tested fiber optic lines after installation to confirm optimal operation.
- Revised and upgraded faults in copper cables and fiber optic.
- Expert use of diagnostic equipment.
- Efficiently identified and resolved technical anomalies.
- Fiber optic enclosure installation both aerial and underground plus aerial cable installation in pole.
- Provided training and mentoring to new team members.

**About you**:

- At least 2 years of experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler;
- Physically fir and capable of standing for long hours;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong knowledge of building and construction procedures;
- Ability to work well as part of a team and alone;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
Job type: Permanent/full-time

**Salary**: $70,000 - $80,000

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Templestowe, VIC 3106: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
