Based in Townsville, we are searching for a locomotive maintainer to perform the repair and overhaul of locomotives and their components including engines, bogies, wheels, etc.

**Key Responsibilities**: As a mechanical fitter, you will be responsible for the following:

- Demonstrating high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Utilizing exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Possessing knowledge and understanding of diesel/electric locomotive engines and associated equipment (desirable).
- Undertaking preventative maintenance and/or repairs on rolling stock, wagons, plant, and facilities as required.
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on locomotives and equipment, ensuring all tasks adhere to relevant maintenance documentation.
