Childcare Handyman

**About the Role**

Mini Masterminds is currently looking for **experienced handyman /maintenance** person to work at multiple Mini Masterminds childcare centres. The role is designed for those who are eager to excel and are committed to exceeding expectations.

**Your daily responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- General labouring duties including not limited to gardening, repairs and maintenance and general handyman work.
- Repetitive preventative maintenance work e.g. gutter checks
- upcycling materials
- Have previous experience in Cutting hedges, mowing and planting
- Detecting any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing, and refurbishing the same
- Complying with the industry standards and safety regulations of working.
- Completing all tasks as delegated by all of management.
- Maintaining electrical fixtures in good working order, changing light bulbs as needed and performing minor repairs as needed
- To make sure that the presentation of the centres is up to code
- Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
- Regular inspection of all electrical, mechanical and other equipment’s
- Assembling new furniture
- Identify risks and remove/manage them to ensure a safe environment at all times
- Manage and maintain purchase orders supplies credit card and trade account reconciliation and budget in accordance to scope of work in regards to maintenance of backyard and Playgrounds and Gardens

- Independent worker
- Professional, punctual and well presented
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ideally previous work in childcare centres
- Understanding and knowledge of WHS
- Experience and all qualification in testing and tagging electrical equipment
- Experience in garden maintenance and/or landscaping
- Must have own car
- Own tools/equipment (preferred but not essential)
- To work on occasional weekends if the maintenance job cannot be completed during operating hours
- Current working with Children Check
- Police Check

We require someone who is reliable, punctual and hardworking. You must be able to work independently. A keen eye for detail and good customer service skills is important and the ability to maintain high work standards.
