**About Us**:
The Capability Systems Centre (CSC) is leading research, education, and delivery excellence in Digital Engineering. Our mission is to enable and accelerate industry and societal digital transformation by creating next-generation systems engineering practices and models, harnessing advances in decision science, and incorporating technological innovations into an integrated collaborative problem‑solving approach. We will create and deliver the education and learning required to build digital engineering competencies at all levels.

**About the Role**:
As a Lecturer in Capability and Systems Centre, you will contribute effectively to the systems modelling team and promote productive relationships with University and Defence colleagues, visitors and students. This is an Education Focussed role (EF) which will enable you to specialise in education and devote your time to delivering high-quality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of UNSW’s students.
- A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience in disciplines related to systems engineering and decision science, including: systems engineering, and decision analytics.
- Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Evidence of effective teaching, training, facilitation, mentoring or other relevant knowledge transmission activities and of the ability to significantly contribute to the delivery of the educational agenda in the Capability Systems Centre.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience in work-integrated learning (desirable)
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
