On offer is a rare opportunity to join one of South Australia’s finest teaching hospitals. As an Advanced Trainee, Clinical Pharmacology, you will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to clinical pharmacology and general medicine patients of SALHN, both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. You will meet training objectives and clinical performance goals in the provision of therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology services including the interpretation and reporting of drug assay and toxicology results. An integral member of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, you will be actively involved in teaching medical students and junior medical staff, in addition to the conduct of research if required.

You must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. Completion of FRACP Part 1 exam or equivalent is also required. With a strong appetite for learning and a passion for Clinical Pharmacology, you will have the ability to undertake training in and contribute effectively to medical education at medical undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Able to undertake training and participate in activities determining policies relating to the use of medicines as well as the quality use of medicines activities, you will bring the ability to work independently under supervision. In addition, you will be a team player who can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
