Violin/viola Teacher

**Overview**

Lily Monteverdi is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic musician to join our team. This is a casual teaching position for our instrumental music program. As a Teaching Associate, it is expected that you have mínimal to some teaching experience but show exceptional technical ability in your given instrument.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Lily Monteverdi curriculum and ensure student progress
- Teach students of varying ages and skill levels in one to one lessons and be comfortable taking group classes
- Assess student weekly progress and provide feedback to parents and program coordinators
- Collaborate with other instrumental teachers during rehearsals and concerts
- Attend program staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required

**Skills**
- Strong technical ability in violin/viola performance
- 1-3+ years of teaching violin/viola to students of various ages and skill levels
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and program coordinators
- Familiarity with the AMEB Syllabus

**Qualifications**
- Currently studying or finished a Bachelor or Masters of Music Performance and/or an Associate in Music (AMusA) and/or a Licentiate in Music (LMusA) or any other related certification for your selected instrument

**Compensation**

Pay is based on teaching experience, results of students, interpersonal skills, instrumental skill and qualifications.

Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
