**The Role**

Reporting to the Services Integration Manager, the Clinical Research Assistant works collaboratively with a range of NextSense stakeholders and partners, to implement & conduct clinical studies, ensuring the quality of the projects and reports.

The key responsibilities include:

- Reviews study requirements; conducts pre-study visits and drafts pre-study evaluation reports
- Participates in the implementation of clinical studies: may coordinate and communicate with other investigators and their staff; ensures compliance with terms and conditions
- Ensures the quality of the project: verifies materials and data integrity
- Closes clinical studies: verifies the integrity of investigator files; ensures availability of clinical and non-clinical materials;
- Assists in writing reports/publications/manuscripts and presentations
- Reviews study requirements; conducts pre-study visits and drafts pre-study evaluation reports.
- Working with the Research Committee, coordinate, plan, execute and close research projects
- Maintains the quality of the work, relationships and liaison with stakeholders as required
- Monitors the conduct of research projects and compliance with established timelines
- Adheres to protocol regulatory requirements, good clinical practice regulations, and standard operating procedures
- Ensures compliance with the patient-consent process
- Verifies the receipt, handling, accounting, storage conditions, and availability of clinical products under investigation
- Collects and verifies compliance and quality of collected data

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Statistically literate
- Experience working in a clinical context either in direct service provision or as a researcher (desirable)
- Organizational skills
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Understanding of the regulatory context, good clinical practices, ISO 14155 and standard operating procedures (desirable)
- Current Driver’s license
- You are obliged to become familiar with, and comply with child protection policies and legislation, as amended from time to time
