**About Us**:
Fortitude Valley State Secondary College is the first school to be opened in the inner city Brisbane in over 50 years. Our school opened in 2020 with 140 Year 7 students and currently has 715 students enrolled in years 7 to 11. Our first Year 12 cohort will graduate in 2025.Our vision is 'To create a community of agile learners who are bold, resilient and kind'. In order to enable this vision and these values to flourish we will maintain high standards and expectations to create an orderly learning environment and a sustainable culture of excellence and innovation. **About the Role**:
Your role will also include the development of quality teaching and learning resources and teacher opportunities through your educational leadership, participating in delivering the Department of Education's vision - Equity and Excellence.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
