Essential:

- Current Clas C Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience and or VOC competency in Loader operations with considerable civil construction
- industry experience
- Basic Written and Verbal communication skills including use of mobile devices and technology
- Numeracy skills including measuring, estimating and calculating material quantities and weights
- Customer service focused
- Experience in general labouring
- Manual handling skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- WHS General Induction for Construction Work Certificate (white card)

Desirable:

- MR or HR Drivers licence.
- Traffic Control qualifications
- VOC or Certificate equivalent to any of LL, LB, LE, LS Workcover licence (Loader / Backhoe / Excavator / Skid steer)
- Ability to operate a range of plant and equipment associated with road construction maintenance work
- To meet Council’s WHS requirements and in accordance with Council’s Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs._
