About the role

The role of the Trades Assistant is to support the Facilities Manager, who is responsible for overseeing the maintenance across Calvary Bruce Privates Facilities. The role will involve attending various jobs and completing allocated works within appropriate timeframes and ensuring quality completion. This may involve responding to periodical scheduling and maintenance, emergency response, safety, security, cleaning, painting, external gardening and landscaping, rubbish removal, and cleaning of carparks. The Trade Assistant will also be often required to respond and support ad hoc duties and project work and be available to be on call on a rotation basis.

What you bring

**Essential**:
Availability and willingness to work an on call rotating roaster.

Effective communication & interpersonal skills.

Good computer skills and knowledge.

Proof of valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration.

COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt.

**Desirable**:
A trade background and /or a back ground with evidence to show being a trade assistant in a medium to large facility being able to carry out day to day repairs on a variety of fixtures and fittings as well as minor mechanical repairs.

Expertise and/or qualifications in specific specialty/ trade.

Previous maintenance experience in a hospital.

Experience in Building management systems.
