Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated, driven and energetic Plant Manager in Eastern Victoria region. This role will be responsible for managing the Traralgon Valley Power operational assets including all maintenance and related activities, supervising site operations and the local Production team in order to meet the operational, maintenance and trading requirements of Snowy Hydro.
In this role you will share knowledge as required and develop a knowledge sharing team culture to ensure the demonstration of cultural values and behaviours is consistently achieved. You will also manage the improvements to safety, environmental, quality, asset availability and reliability, cost and contractor's performance.

**We're looking for someone who**:
Has demonstrable Management experience (5-10 years) and a trade background. It would be desirable to have engineering qualifications, however it is not essential

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of gas and diesel assets and access requirements for these assets

Adheres to Snowy Hydro's values and demonstrates integrity

Has safety at the forefront of everything you and your team do

Formulates strategies and concepts to realise organisational goals

Leads and supervises a multifaceted team, providing clear direction and setting appropriate standards of behaviour

Shows agility in their adoption and response to changing circumstances.

Makes prompt, clear decisions and takes ownership over actions, decisions, projects and people

Is a clear communicator and possesses the ability to form relationships with key stakeholders

Is a creative and innovative thinker who also implements change well

Has previous experience developing teams to become high performing
