**The Opportunity**:
We have an opportunity for a Technical lead to join the team on a permanent basis in the Preston office.

The role is responsible for delivering quality software and service to our customers on time to drive delivery of Ingenico’s revenue and profitability, as well as manage risk and client satisfaction

**Areas of Responsibility**:

- Work closely with customers to understand business objectives
- Build estimates for pipeline requests
- Build a solution document and ensure review and sign of from the customer is provided
- Manage end-to-end delivery of assignments
- Provide a forecast of work (estimates)
- Escalate major issues when identified

**Ensure Architecture is followed**
- Allocate people to perform code reviews (some code reviews must be done by the solution architect others by other developers)
- Coordinates interfacing with various parties (including region and group) on technical issues (both HW and SW)
- Ensures that timesheets for all allocated staff are completed
- Allocate work to assigned developers
- Work closely with account manager
- Perform performance reviews of assigned resources
- Ensure resolution of customer production issues and provide status to the customers
- Daily - Updating of timesheets
- Weekly - Status reports to Software Development Manager following Status Update template
- Quarterly - Provide feedback of team-members KPI to the Software Development Manager

**Competencies, Skills and Experience**

**Competencies**:

- 3 years of experience leading a team of software developers
- Extensive knowledge of the Australian payments industry
- In-depth knowledge of transaction processing systems used by the acquirers
- Knowledge of security requirements for payment transactions
- Excellent Technical Documentation Skills
- Experience in the preparation of tenders, tender responses and requirements analysis

- Analytical ability
- Dynamic and meticulous
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work with a team
- A great communicator at all levels

**Experience**:

- 3+ years experience in Software Team Leading roles
- 3+ years experience in working with large corporate clients such as banks and government agencies
- Extensive experience in using Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Ability to perform data analysis using tools such as Excel and Microsoft Access
- Knowledge of Android Development (Kotlin, JAVA)
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles
- Experience with MS Project
- Experience with JIRA
- Core Requirements Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Good time management - the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work well within your team and autonomously
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative
- Meet KPIs

**Qualification**:

- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar

**Compliance**:
