City of Parramatta have an exciting Permanent full-time opportunity working in the Regulatory Services unit as a Biosecurity Officer.

As the Biosecurity Officer you will proactively enforce the provisions of legislation used by City of Parramatta Council, adopted policies/ codes and regulations in a fair and equitable manner.

On a daily basis you will:

- Take the lead in creating an effective biosecurity weed inspection regime that will routinely involve inspections of residential properties, nursery and florist businesses within the LGA.
- Communicate with and educate business owners and residents to assist them with identifying and eliminating biosecurity weed threats.
- Competently investigate and prepare precise briefs of evidence for submission, consideration, and approval.

**About You (Criteria)**:
**Qualifications**:

- Relevant qualifications in either horticulture, bushland regeneration, weed control, natural resource management or other related discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Current C Class Drivers License
- NSW boat driver license.
- Current First Aid Certificate.

**What’s on offer**
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $93,458 to $102,919 plus superannuation.
