**Work Type**: Permanent Part-time**Ref#**: AD23-RE-CONSTUCTIONThis role is a hybrid role working across the Construction and the Environment & Planning team. You will primarily be part of a leading construction team who deal with high profile construction transactions and disputes. You will be part of a collaborative, knowledgeable and supportive team and will gain wide-ranging experience in “front end” contract drafting and “back end” litigation proceedings. The team works with a variety of clients including property developers, institutional investors, major contractors and consultants across a range of large infrastructure, commercial, retail and residential projects. For one day of the week, you will be supporting our Environment & Planning team with general administrative tasks such as filing and archiving documents.

This role would suit someone who is committed to their own growth and development and is looking to gain insight into the legal industry.

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible for providing administrative support to fee earners across the team;
- Assisting fee earners with legal work, including preparing briefs for experts and counsel; drafting chronologies; proofreading contracts and correspondence;
- Managing the monthly billing process for the team, including input of timesheets, drafting, generating, editing / processing bills and client fee estimates and client debtors;
- General administrative duties, including diary management, organising meetings, submitting reimbursements and organising couriers and packages;
- Document management, including copying, printing and scanning documents, preparing working folders for fee earners and archiving files for closed matters;
- Complete new matter opening and maintain matter maintenance, ensuring correct client and matter setups are in line with client requirements;
- Managing Australian Standard templates and licenses; and
- Assist in ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned.

**About you**:
To be considered for the role, you will have:

- Legal secretarial/administration experience an advantage but not essential
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using precedents, billing and document management programs
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A self-starter’s attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
- An eye for detail, be highly organized and efficient
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- The ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
