These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. **About the Role**
An opportunity exists for an experienced planning and performance coordinator to lead our Corporate Planning Team. We are looking for an innovative leader who shares Council’s commitment to continuous improvement delivering effective, efficient and responsible services to our diverse communities. You will have experience in corporate planning, performance reporting, service planning and business planning processes and work to build to improve our corporate planning and performance capability across the organisation.
Being the trusted partner enabling and supporting the organisation to deliver on the commitments in the Council Plan 2021-31 (and future Council Plans). The role takes a whole of organisation approach, building constructive working relationships, and building organisational capacity to understand and engage in Council’s vision and 10-year outcomes for the City of Port Phillip and its strategic directions.
**Duties**:

- Provide advice, analysis and information to assist the Executive Team and Leadership Networks in their deliberations, planning and implementation of improvements to council and business planning processes and systems.
- Set direction for the Planning and Performance Unit and develop and implement a work plan which includes building processes and capability of the team.

Lead and coordinate:

- the development and annual review of the Council Plan document, which includes an annual review and update of service profiles and performance measures and targets.
- the development and monitoring of Council’s Delivery (operations) Plan tracking progress against the 100+ initiatives set out in the Council Plan.
- the annual business planning process.
- the development of the Council’s Annual Report.
- the delivery of the monthly CEO Report, quarterly CEO priorities report and the six-monthly progress on Council Plan priorities.
- the delivery of the monthly Enterprise Performance Report.
- the delivery of the annual Community Satisfaction Survey, and associated reporting of Local Government Performance Reporting Framework measures.
- the delivery of a Policy Framework and annual review program.
**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications in business management\planning and\or public policy or a closely related field, along with extensive and diverse relevant experience.
- Experience in operating and developing a team that performs a central function of a Government organisation or agency.
- Experience working across an organisation with diverse stakeholder and priorities and providing strategic advice to those more senior.
- Experience of information systems, databases and other relevant business and financial management processes.
