**About the opportunity**

Blacktown City Council owns and operates a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 26 child care centres and over 70 family day care educators.

Kids’ Early Learning has approximately 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff and operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 1700 families and providing care and learning needs for their children.

We are looking to fill a variety of Casual Child Care Aide positions across all centres.

This position is responsible for planning and implementing a programme of developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a high standard of care for the group of children assigned, in consultation with the Director and other staff and to Act in accordance with the _NSW Work Health Safety Act 2011, _Work Health Safety Regulation 2017_ _and the Work Health and Safety (WHS) System.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services) or equivalent as specified in the _Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2018_
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training, which meets requirements of the _Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulation 2018_
- Working With Children Check Number.

**Desirable**:

- A minimum of 12 months relevant work experience
- Current class C driver's licence
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $32.1663 per hour plus 25% casual loading
- Employee benefits such as 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
