This is an exciting opportunity for a Databricks Administrator to enhance our team. In this role, you will support Data Engineering Teams in large-scale data processing and analytics, supporting impactful projects and advancing your skills in a supportive environment.
**Experience Required**:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Databricks administration.
- Proven experience with Databricks on AWS, including cluster management, performance tuning, security, and entitlement management.
- Familiarity with AWS services and their integration with Databricks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
- Strong understanding of big data technologies and cloud computing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Databricks Certification is desirable.
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, deploy, and manage Databricks clusters on AWS.
- Monitor and optimise Databricks environment performance.
- Implement and manage Databricks access controls, roles, and entitlements to ensure secure data access.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and security teams for seamless integration with AWS services.
- Provide technical support to data engineers and data scientists.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cluster performance issues.
- Work with AWS and Databricks support teams for complex problem resolution.
- Prioritise, categorise, and assign support tickets based on urgency and complexity.
- Ensure timely responses and resolutions to user issues.
- Maintain the security and compliance of Databricks workloads.
- Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) within Databricks.
- Implement network security measures, including VPC configurations and firewall rules.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
