Are you fascinated by the upkeep of your local sporting grounds? Thinking about a career within horticulture?
Maxima, in partnership with the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club, are looking for a green thumb to undertake a fulltime traineeship within horticulture, specialising in sports turf.
Day-to-day you will be working within a proud racing club assisting to maintain the two main grass tracks to a high standard, as well as ensuring all gardens are lush and picturesque.
Across 3-years gain hands-on experience and receive paid study time towards achieving a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture **with a units focus within turf management.

**Duties Include**:
- Turf management
- Racetrack preparation
- Pest and weed control
- Irrigation maintenance and installation
- General garden maintenance
- Use of hand/garden tools and industry-based machinery
**About You**:
- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual
- Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure
- Works effectively within a team and unsupervised
- Great communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn
**Role Requirements**:
- Must hold a provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous)
