The role

Queensland’s Racing Minister Grace Grace engaged KPMG to undertake a Best Practice Review to ensure continued delivery of high integrity and animal welfare standards for the racing industry into the future.

The Change Manager will design and execute strategies that deliver the organisational improvements as outlined in the Best Practice Review and support our employee’s adoption of these workplace enhancements. There is a clear emphasis on addressing the human aspect of the change, including understanding the impact on QRIC employees and facilitating their adaptation to new business processes, systems, or structures.

Key responsibilities

The Change Manager reports to the Program Manager, Culture Change, and is accountable for:

- Leading change management activities across QRIC that support the adoption of changes recommended by the Review, including consultation with employees, and identifying and managing anticipated resistance.
- Conducting impact analysis and building an understanding of the diverse groups across QRIC to ensure positive relationships with leaders and individuals.
- Developing the communications plan and delivering through targeted communication channels the benefits of the change program to ensure smooth implementation.
- Developing clear definitions of the value of the program, and the nature of any impact, to support organisation wide consultation.
- Preparing major presentations, speeches, publications, correspondence, submissions, briefing notes, and reports to support the change initiatives.
- Supporting required training including documenting requirements and ensuring delivery.
- Tracking implementation progress and reporting risks to key stakeholders.
- Demonstrating an ability to influence key stakeholders, groups or individuals while maintaining productive relationships.
- Demonstrating ethical behaviour and integrity as required by the _Public Sector Ethics Act 1994_.
