Grade 2 Dietitian, full time, 15 April 2024 to 31 December 2025

- $46.88 to $53.04 per hour base pay + salary packaging + super + higher qualifications allowance if applicable

**About the Nutrition and Dietetics Department**

We have around 40 staff members across three sites - Austin (acute care), Repat (sub-acute care) and Talbot (rehabilitation), providing services to inpatients, outpatients and home & community programs. We operate as one department and come together for staff meetings and continuing education. We work in clinical streams and have portfolios to support the work we do in education, research, student training, food service and quality improvement. The environment is vibrant and fast paced, friendly and supportive.

**About the role**

You will be based primarily at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in Kew, working as part of the sub-acute clinical stream across the Heidelberg Repatriation Centre and Talbot. The stream leader is based at Repat, two to three staff members are based at Talbot, and five at Repat.

Your workload may include any of the Talbot inpatient units - neurology, amputee, orthopaedics, spinal, acquired brain injury, brain disorders, as well as outpatient services and home-based programs. You will also be involved in supervising students on clinical placements. Your workload allocation may vary over time according to operational needs and may include regular work at other campuses.

Due to being in a separate location to the rest of the department and having only one main colleague, you will have a high degree of responsibility and will need to be comfortable working autonomously. You will work closely with your colleague and share workload as per demands. You will work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams.

This is a full-time position however we may consider reduced hours for applicants who are a good match for the role. Ideally you will work across 5 days.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will bring:

- Sound clinical nutrition knowledge in a variety of areas with demonstrated depth of knowledge in rehabilitation.
- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems independently, be flexible and adaptable.
- Willingness to travel cross campus for meetings and other activities as required.
- Experience and/or interest in student training and professional supervision.
