We currently have multiple roles across maintenance and turnarounds based onsite in Geelong, Victoria.
The opportunity as a multi skilled **Planner/Supervisor** will see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers.
**About the role**
- As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules and cost. You will be:
- Accountable for developing, communicating and reporting work scope, plans, materials, resources and associated risks to generate accurate job packages for execution and contingency works.
- Responsible to ensure all aspects of identifying, investigating, preparing, and mitigating scope risk associated with detailed planning and job package development.
- Provide scope estimates, accurate scope activity steps, resources and duration build outs.
- The first point of contact for scope queries for the respective scope category.
- Required to liaise continuously with critical functional groups of HSE, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations to ensure the highest degree of integrated planning is achieved to effectively generate accurate planning and job packages to execute the works.
- Monitor and ensure high level of performance of trade staff and contractors
- Incident reporting and investigations
- Provide training, guidance and counselling to subordinates when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with refinery permit to work system.
- Must be effective in building relationships, collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders

**Required qualifications and education requirements**
- Minimum completion of relevant Trade Certificate
- Technical Diploma preferred but not essential
**Desirable / preferred skills**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a major facility within Operations / Maintenance / Projects or Turnarounds within the Oil and Gas Industry
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical standards and best operating practices
- Proven experience managing and leading teams
- Strong commitment to developing and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical problem solving
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and complete work within established deadlines
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and positive manner
- Strong client focus and a genuine desire to assist team members
- Professional work ethic and behaviour
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Knowledge and proficiency in the following computer packages:
- Excel
- JDE (CMMS)
- SAP
- P6
