We are looking for a motivated first year university or high school student to join our team of Kumon Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for a first year university or high school students to gain valuable work experience, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on young learners in their community.

**Position Overview**:
As a Kumon Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Kumon instructors and helping students improve their math and reading skills. You will work closely with students aged 3 to 18, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance with Kumon worksheets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist students with completing their Kumon worksheets.
- Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students.
- Help maintain a quiet and focused learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Attend training sessions to learn Kumon teaching methods and strategies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Paid Blue Card/Working with Children Check**:

- Strong math and reading skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, responsible, and dependable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Kumon teaching methods.

Pay: $10.40 - $24.84 per hour

Expected hours: 2.5 - 10 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Browns Plains, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
