The Learning and Teaching Futures (LTF) Portfolio provides strategic leadership and support to the University around learning and teaching innovation. The Educational Designer works collaboratively within the LTF Portfolio, with a primary focus on strategic design, development and evaluation of online short courses and microcredentials, to ensure consistently engaging, effective, high-quality learning and assessment experiences for students. This includes the promotion, utilisation, development and evaluation of educational technologies, pedagogies and resources.
**Who you are**
The Learning and Teaching Futures (LTF) Portfolio is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and highly experienced professional to join the team and provide a range of high-level educational design input, as a catalyst for innovation in learning and teaching. Knowledge and experience of academic offerings in the higher education sector will be highly valued.
**What you'll do**
Working as a member of the Learning and Teaching Futures Portfolio, you will provide in-depth, expert curriculum and assessment design and pedagogical advice and support aligned with the University’s strategic directions, to ensure continuous improvement and the development of excellent online courses, including short courses and microcredentials.
Additionally, the role focusses on the following key responsibilities:
- Providing advice and support around online learning innovations, ensuring that the most effective online learning pedagogies are being utilised to enhance student learning;
- Working with academics to ensure regular evaluations and evidence-based revisions are undertaken;
- Working collaboratively with academics, learning and educational designers and other key stakeholders in the LTF Portfolio and University to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery;
- Maintaining an up-to-date applied working knowledge and expertise in relation to course and microcredential design, development, assessment and online delivery, informed by contemporary learning theories, models and practices; and
- Contributing as required to committees or working parties and participating in the development of plans, strategies, policies and procedures.
