Join Australia’s number one life insurer as a Pricing Actuary, Retirement. This role is part of our Group Life and Retirement business unit which is focused on developing modern and innovative retirement solutions with our superannuation fund partners to provide confidence for Australians to live their best retirement.

You will be a commercially minded Actuary with a desire to drive innovative product outcomes and have the ability to engage with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will:

- Ensure pricing is compliant to the internal profitability metrics, including liaising with the Appointed Actuary on the CPS320 advice process.
- Provide actuarial support on technical aspects of product development.
- Build upon TAL’s actuarial modelling capability for both product pricing, business case projections, and member outcomes.
- Stay abreast of longevity trends in Australia and globally.
- Stay abreast of trends in the Australian retirement market, including changing regulation, the advice ecosystem, and competitor’s products.
- Provide support on the design and implementation of actuarial processes to calculate settlements under innovative longevity insurance contracts.
- Present pricing or modelling results to internal and external stakeholders, as required.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working as an Actuary within the Life Insurance industry
- Experience with retirement products such as annuities, desirable
- Knowledge of superannuation and retirement solutions, including the market they operate within
- Knowledge of current and proposed regulations impacting the superannuation and life insurance industry
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in Australia, or an equivalent body
