- About the Role_

This Financial Analyst (FA) shall assist Mamre in the pursuit of its strategy through the provision of commercially sound financial review and analysis for growth opportunities (both organic and acquisition), as well as assisting services areas to improve operations through analysis and insight.

The FA develops strong internal relationships, especially with Service Area Managers, providing technical assistance and imparting commercial acumen regarding major financial decisions.

FA services include business identification, tender and grant support, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence investigations, capital planning and debt financing as well as analysis and modelling of existing business operations to assist in performance improvement and scenario planning.

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Support the Executive Group to develop and achieve Mamre’s strategic objectives by providing commercially sound and relevant financial analysis and advice to assist with making commercially informed decisions.
- Lead FA Services in proactively engaging with Business Units in the identification, analysis and pursuit of major growth opportunities, and ensure support in responding to major tenders and grant opportunities through financial modelling and formal written responses.
- Lead the development of appropriate tools and techniques to allow for the effective evaluation of opportunities, provide robust and timely tender assistance, and lead internal performance review and analysis.
- Review and analyse growth opportunities, undertaking financial modelling of services, capital construction projects and debt financing, completing commercial and financial due diligence, and undertaking analysis of benefits realisation for completed projects.
- Lead the formation and coordination of cross functional teams in the evaluation, pursuit and implementation of major opportunities.
- Support the review of existing services and operations to assist in the improvement of financial performance and efficiency, including analysis of underlying performance, cost reduction, management information, system/process improvements and benchmarking, or other relevant analysis techniques.
- Create rigorous financial models to support decision making.
- Prepare formal analysis and reporting from concept to feasibility and business case, supporting the decision-making process and developing and implementing any related plans to support business growth.
- Complete analysis and preparation of market trend analysis for Board reporting.
- Maintain a pipeline register for business growth and new work analysis.
- Establish and maintain relevant policies, practices and programs.
- KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED _

**Essential**
- Experience in commercial analysis and evaluation and demonstrated ability to support decision making regarding major financial growth opportunities, including business acquisition and/or new developments.
- Experience in the preparation of formal concept, feasibility and business cases analysis and reporting (including business model analysis, benefit quantification, scenario analysis, risk assessment identification of market felt needs, and competitor analysis).
- Experience in the analysis of operational performance and improvement opportunities and proven technical skills, especially in the areas of commercial analysis and financial modelling.
- Results orientated individual who can demonstrate stability when under pressure with desired outcomes achieved.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and lead change and business improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems with a high level of analytical ability and proven technical skills, including financial modelling and process improvement.
