**About the Role**:
Join us as a Waterway Ecologist and play a pivotal role in enhancing and managing urban waterways and wetlands within the Green Adelaide landscape. This position is vital for maximising biodiversity and improving water management practices across our region.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate restoration and management programs for urban waterways and wetlands.
- Provide scientific and technical advice, including revegetation species recommendations, to support strategic waterway and wetland enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Green Adelaide staff and external stakeholders to deliver various programs and projects.
- Contribute professional expertise to enhance biodiversity and water management opportunities.

**Contract**:
2 year Contract
**Essential Qualifications**:
A degree in ecology or applied science relevant to waterway management and restoration, or broader natural resources management.
**Special Conditions**:
- Out of hours work may be required
- Must hold a current driver’s licence
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties
- May be required to participate in biosecurity emergency response
- May be required to undertake Authorised Officer training under the Landscape SA Act

PO3, $101,286 min - $107,078 max p.a.
