**The role: Research Associate**

By joining the Research and Insights team within this government department, you’ll manage quantitative and qualitative research projects end-to-end, implementing change and seeing your insights come to life.

Your research skills, critical thinking, and insights will deepen the understanding of the role that arts play in the community, ensure that grants are being used effectively, and shape educational programmes, initiatives, and cultural events from art galleries, music festivals, first nation events, ballet, opera, street art, vivid and so much more.

**You’ll be hands-on with**:

- Taking briefs from stakeholders and understanding their objectives
- Designing qualitative and quantitative research
- Managing suppliers when required
- Questionnaire and discussion guide design
- Data collection and analysis (excel, SPSS or Q)
- Assisting with the facilitation of groups, workshops, and community sessions
- Pulling out key insights
- Storytelling and delivering recommendations
- Seeing your insights come to life and making positive social change happen
- Mentoring juniors and supporting seniors’ members of the team

You must have prior agency or Client-side research experience within a quantitative or qualitative capability, coupled with a genuine passion for shaping the future of the Australian Arts and cultural community.
