**As Waitlist Officer, you will report to the Administration Manager and your responsibilities will include**:

- Facilitating the booking of patients, who require surgery
- Processing referral paperwork and surgical consents
- Managing hospital bookings and waitlists
- Communicating with patients, surgeons, nursing staff, doctors rooms, and other staff, as well as family members involved in the surgical journey
- Recognising team workload and the ability to step into different roles when required

**You will bring to our high-performing team**:

- Previous hospital administrative experience in a patient booking environment
- Understanding of Public & Private Health Access (desired)
- Certificate III in Health Administration or similar
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of waiting list procedures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and focus on completing high quality work
- An ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Patient Management System i.e. WebPAS (or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel)
