Flexographic Printer

**Reporting Structure**:
This position reports to the Printing Manager and/or Production Manager.

**Purpose**:
To produce high quality flexographic print for further processing within the plant

**Principal Accountabilities**:
1. Must be trade certified

2. Preferable to have at least 5 years of experience operating wide web C.I flexo machines

3. Preferable but not essential to have experience operating gearless type machines

4. Preferable to have experience printing on flexible extensible materials such as Plastics, PET and Nylons

5. Must be familiar with using solvent based ink systems.

6. Must have a sound knowledge of tone and process printing

7. Must have good knowledge of colour matching

8. Preferable but not essential to have experience with the plate mounting process

9. Currently 3 x 8hr shifts available but need the flexibility to work any shift pattern that is offered.

**Qualifications / Experience**:
This position requires an average education, in addition to a completed apprenticeship in flexographic printing (4 years). A proven record of running flexographic printing machines to good standards is necessary, with attention to detail. Availability for shift work is essential, as are good interpersonal and communication skills.
