**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Workplace Trainer to join Box Hill Institute

This is a rewarding position where you will provide high quality and innovative teaching and course materials to culinary arts and hospitality students on campus as well as apprentices and trainees in the workplace. You will have the opportunity to share your industry knowledge and expertise through designing and delivering sessions that are engaging and using blended learning styles and platforms.

Your role will play a large part in enabling students to improve their life skills and gain employment or move on to further studies. As the Hospitality Workplace Trainer you will be providing a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student retention and completion of their qualification.

Within this position you will also ensure that teaching practices meet industry/employer needs; adapting teaching resources to meet requirements as needed and preparing appropriate resources and materials to ensure effective learning is taking place under your supervision.

Box Hill Institute are currently recruiting for **multiple **casual (up to 38 hours per week) Hospitality Workplace Trainer positions at our Box Hill campus.

This position will require travel to other Box Hill Institute campuses and industry workplaces.

**About You**:

- Relevant degree or post graduate qualification and significant experience in a similar role, or a combination of lesser qualifications and extensive experience in a similar role
- Vocational Qualification is not a requirement (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training & Education (TAE) (desirable)
- Demonstrated industry knowledge and experience
- Passionate about sharing your knowledge and expertise to students and stakeholders
- High level communication skills and confidence to deliver engaging teaching/training sessions
- Interpersonal skills; capacity to provide support and advice to students of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to develop learning resources including course materials, unit plans and assessment tools
