**The Role**
This exciting opportunity offers a diverse role with the potential for career progression. We are looking for someone with previous cropping and sheep experience. Working alongside the owner manager you will be involved in all aspects of the cropping cycle. As the business has a larger proportion of cropping this will make up the majority of your role, therefore mechanical aptitude and ability to operate a variety of machinery is a must along with the ability to understand a cropping plan. Operating their own fleet of modern John Deere machinery and harvesters along with a Goldacres sprayer which is partnered with a Case tractor, previous experience with GPS will be important for this role.

The long-held Merino and Poll Merino stud sheep will make up the remainder of the role, this will see you undertaking all required animal husbandry tasks as required. A lot of development has been undertaken with the flock and they are sought after for their ability to perform in tough conditions and continue to produce well-nourished wool. Of course, you will also be involved in general maintenance of farm machinery and infrastructure.

This role is suited to someone who is passionate about sheep and cropping and is looking for a long-term family environment.

Our clients are a family-owned sheep and cropping enterprise based at Warooka on 6,500 acres of the beautiful Yorke Peninsula. Renowned for their Merino and Poll Merino studs they also successfully grow a substantial amount of broad acre cropping.
