Coast2Bay Housing Group is calling for Expressions of Interest from persons interested in becoming a volunteer independent Director or Committee member to assist in the provision of innovative and sustainable housing solutions for people in need on the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gympie, and Brisbane regions.

The Independent Board of Directors are elected by the Shareholders for a three-year term (following guidance and advice from the existing Directors in accordance with the approved skills based Board policy). Directors serve for a maximum of three terms. Casual vacancies are filled by the current Directors and re-nominated at the following AGM.

Independent Committee members are volunteers appointed by the Directors and are formally engaged through a volunteer agreement.

Directors will have the responsibility of controlling the business, managing its assets and current growth plans.

The following criteria is taken into consideration when appointing Directors:

- All Directors should understand and have a strong commitment to the promotion of community and affordable housing services and the objectives of the company.
- Each Director should have knowledge and understanding of the obligations of Directors under the _Corporations Act 2001 _and other relevant legislation.
- Each Director should have expertise relevant to finance, property development/management of social or affordable housing management,
- Current skills mix required is for preferably in at least one of the following areas of expertise:

- Corporate finance / accountancy or banking
- Capital development and or construction or planning expertise

The primary role of the Independent Board of Directors is to provide strategic leadership and control of the extensive range of business and development activities including those of the wholly owned subsidiaries.

Currently Directors and Committee members receive an attendance allowance for meetings to recognize their increased time, work, and responsibility.
