**Position: Full Time Senior Stonemason**

**Location: Smithfield NSW**

**Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000**

We are seeking an experienced stone mason (senior level) capable of producing high-end stone work and offering first class customer service. The successful applicant must be committed to producing quality outcome on a daily basis.

To join our team you must be able to shape, polish and install work unsupervised. You must also be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be presentable. You be willing to work in a team environment and autonomously.

**The Roles**

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Stone fabrication and installation
- Ensuring that project turn-around times are delivered as promised to customers.
- Working as a team in the factory and onsite.
- Contributing to a great culture to ensure it stays aligned with our values.
- Ensuring that the current high-quality standards of our work are always adhered to and delivered.

Primary responsibility is to cut and shape both hard and soft stone blocks and masonry slabs to construct and renovate a range of stone structures, including but not limited to kitchen benchtops and monumental masonry.

Must be able to execute all projects with precision and attention to detail.
- Previous experience templating, operating bridge saw, fabrication, polishing of engineered stone, marble and granite.
- Experience in cutting, grinding, polishing, laminating, and miters.
- Reading and interpreting structural blueprints or drawings
- Determining the materials and equipment needed for the project
- Laying out stones, forms, or foundations according to plans or project specifications
- Operating cranes, hoists or heavy machinery to move stones
- Break or cut materials to required size
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab and foundation
- Manufacturing (Polishing / cutting / gluing miters / laminations)
- Experience working with all types of materials (Reconstituted & Natural stones)
- Template collecting / onsite measuring
- Clean excess mortar with trowels and other hand tools
- Construct corners with a corner pole or by building a corner pyramid
- Align structure vertically and horizontally
- Clean and polish surface with hand or power tools
- Fill expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- Current white card required
- Certificate IV in the relevant field
- 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Stonemason
- Ability to take direction and responsibility for end results Ability to visualize and implement aesthetic patterns into a construction design.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
- Familiarity with stone cutting, shaping, and binding tools.
- Certified to operate heavy machinery, cranes, and hoists.
- Physically strong and able to manipulate heavy objects.

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
