Our Sydney Light Rail project team is currently looking for experienced OHW and Traction Linemen to join the infrastructure operations team in Randwick.

In this role you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the systems and associated equipment under their scope at the Sydney Light Rail Project, mainly for Overhead Wiring (poles, cantilevers, contact wire, disconnectors) and Track side (rails, sleeps, ballast/ slab, turnouts).
The position will report directly to the Operations Manager with key interaction between internal and external stakeholders such as the Maintenance Project Organization, the Contractor and Suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
To maintain Overhead Wire (OHW) and Track components in accordance with specified company, quality and health & safety procedures including but not limited to:

- Perform isolation of the catenary equipment as necessary.
- Carry out preventative maintenance according to Maintenance Schedules and repair of the OHW and Track components
- Perform Fault Troubleshooting, Investigation
- Regularly monitor Overhead and Track defects and failures and liaise with key stakeholders
- Mitigating the risk of in service failures through proactive intervention
- Organise their labour and materials as needed to enable the completion of their duties
- To actively participate in the reduction of Deviations from Standard reported each month on Health, Safety or Environmental Grounds, as per ALSTOM procedures;

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Rail Traction or Distribution
- EWP Ticket
- Experience in a maintenance background an advantage but not essential.
- Must be able to work on call (rostered) - shift work, nights and weekends
