Security Officers

Calvary Public Hospital Bruce, Calvary Private Hospital Bruce & Clare Holland House Barton, ACT

Part Time Permanent Positions

24/7 roster with 12 hour day shifts and 12 hour night shifts

Shifts will be assigned based on availability and may include weekends and public holidays, as well as leave cover.

**Salary Range**: $60,182- $63,139 (Plus Super) Pro Rata

About the role

Provide high-quality, timely, and appropriate levels of security, fire protection, and safety services to Calvary Health Care ACT at Clare Holland House, Calvary Public Hospital Bruce, and Calvary Bruce Private Hospital as needed to ensure the safety of individuals and property, crime prevention, peacekeeping, and information protection.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive security services and assistance to patients, visitors, staff and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets of Calvary Health Care ACT

Provide first response presence to all emergency situations

Provide close personal protection to staff confronting aggressive and volatile situations in the provision of front line health services

Prioritise tasks and respond to requests for security and/or emergency assistance in accordance with Calvary guidelines, policies, procedures and protocols

Prevention, intervention, investigation and recording of crime within Calvary Health Care ACT as defined by statute law, including but not limited to theft, wilful damage, assault, trespass and public nuisance offences

What you bring

Current ACT Security Industry licence

Current First Aid Certificate

Current Working with Vulnerable People

Current unconditional driver’s licence

Understanding of contemporary security practices

Demonstrated high degree of initiative and independent judgement

Ability to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision

Ability to undertake shift work

Demonstrated computer literacy

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
