Join us as Key Account Manager for the Electrification Business Area where you will be providing ongoing relationship management for our Key Utility customers nationally focused on growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Coordinating all sales efforts of Local BU team members (including sales functions) for ABB’s National Utility accounts. Creating end user and specification acceptance, offering within the target Utilities segment to increase ABB’s market penetration. Define and implement sales and marketing strategies for the assigned segment in order to achieve ABB’s segment growth aspirations. Developing and maintaining customer relationships and managing resolution of specific customer problems. Reporting to National System Sales Manager and this position will be based in Notting Hill, Australia
**Your responsibilities**:
- Actively driving and owning the top line orders received for the National Utility Accounts
- Driving and implementing marketing and sales activities for the selected market segment(s) in line with the agreed strategy and defining and proposing revenues and gross margin targets for the account
- Selling products and/or solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for all Local PGs or Local BUs. Promoting frame agreements with the customer
- Planning the strategy to establish and developing account relationships and developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, past purchasing behaviour, organization including decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition
- Participating with other account managers and sales management in the development of sales strategies for accounts by understanding the customer current business and long-term plans
- Monitoring competitors’ activity with each potential and existing account and ensuring the successful outcome of sales transactions, contracts, and proposals. Communicates details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)
- Coordinating the use of internal or external resources (e.g., technical, advertising, marketing) to provide value added services to accounts and ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; attendance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events
**Your background**:
- Degree qualifications in Engineering (electrical) / commercial qualification or recognized equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Development or Account Management in similar industry
- Deep knowledge and understanding to the electrical engineering industry
- Estimating and tendering experience (SAP & MS Excel based system)
- Computer literacy and competent in using SAP (preferable), MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project are essential
- Good communication skills and assertive business acumen
