**A 12-month fixed-term Stores Officer opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable team player to join the team at the Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct.**

**About us**

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is responsible for the supervision of children and young people in the criminal justice system. The two Youth Justice Custodial Precincts in Victoria are managed by the department. Parkville Youth Justice Precinct is located in the inner northern Melbourne suburb of Parkville, and Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct is located approximately 100 kilometres north of Melbourne.

The Youth Justice Custodial Services Group is part of the Youth Justice Division and has responsibility to engage young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation, within a safe and secure environment.

**What does a Stores Officer do?**

The Stores Officer will be responsible for responsible for assisting in the operational planning, co-ordination, and delivery of stores' services across Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct. This position will also:

- Deliver stores' services across the sites.
- Ensure orders are filled and delivered.
- Assist in use of Oracle financial system and MYOB inventory system.
- Ensure service delivery standards and timelines, specified budgetary outcomes, stakeholder expectation and client needs are met.

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, this role will work within a team of seven across both the Parkville and Malmsbury Youth Justice precincts. The position will be based at Malmsbury.

**What skills should a Stores Officer have?**
- Demonstrated ability to use financial and stock management systems for, purchasing and goods receipting.
- Previous experience in stores/supply services would be advantageous
