**About the organisation**

Our client is a Community Services organisation that assists people and communities by offering pathways to employment, whilst helping individuals adjust to changing employment conditions. Through state government funded employment services, vocational education and training, this not-for-profit organisation works with the long term unemployed, and tailors training and support to individual needs and local circumstances.

Currently delivering the state funded JVES program, our client has a proven track record of high-quality training and achieving employment outcomes on a national scale. The organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Services Manager to lead a team and drive performance through a proactive and hands on approach.

**About the opportunity**

Reporting to the Program Manager, this newly created position will play a key role as an internal consultant and expert adviser to the Program Manager, Site Managers and Consultants delivering the JVES program across Victoria.

The position requires a high level of personal motivation, the ability to take the initiative, identify projects, develop work plans, and utilise excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with people across all levels.

**To be successful you should have**
- A sound understanding of employment services contracts and the challenges of delivering those programs
- People management experience and be able to lead by example, inspire, and motivate teams
- Local labour market knowledge and well developed local networks
- Empathy for the unemployed and ability to work with a diverse range of clients
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to compile, analyse and interpret quantitative data
- High level computer skills, in particular with spreadsheets and other programs used for the collection and analysis of data
- Demonstrated ability to provide services to internal clients, including the ability to work with and influence managers and frontline staff
- Demonstrated employability skills, i.e. initiative, communication, team work, use of technology, problem solving, self-management, planning and learning
- Current drivers licence
- The ability to pass a Federal Police Check and obtain a Working with Children Check
