One of Australia’s leading maritime consultancy companies, located in Bracken Ridge, currently have a unique opportunity for a motivated and passionate trainee to join a rapidly expanding business and team.

They specialise in the develop safety management systems for commercial vessels and marine based businesses Australia wide. They also deliver specialised onboard inductions and training to the commercial vessel operators.

In addition, they have a Prestige boat management section that provides specialised services to luxury boats owners.

This is a growing company and there is plenty of career progression for the right person.

**About the role**

The role is casual to start (atleast 2 days a week) with the potential to go to permanent on a Part Time or Full Time basis for the right person after the probation period.

You will be assisting our consultant undertaking vessel inspections. After training and when competent you will be required to undertake vessel inspections on your own.

You will also be required to provide excellent frontline client service and assist in office work related to vessel inspections and the development of Safety Management Systems and other administration tasks.

As part of the traineeship, you will also work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification in **Certificate III in Workplace Health and Safety.**

**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role you will have to have the following:

- Current Drivers Licence
- Own transport
- Be able to travel within the state and interstate (some overnight stays)
- Proficient in working in a team environment and independently
- Intermediate computer skills in Office 365
- Physically fit

**Desirable**
- A keen interest in maritime
- Experience or qualifications in maritime
- A desire to deliver safety to maritime industries
- Current First Aid certificate
