Roustabout (Ferrous Yard)

We are currently seeking a Roustabout  to work in Kwinana. This is a casual full-time role with potential to go permanent. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Team Leader to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.

The role:

- Overseeing day to day operation of extensive conveyor system.
- Maintaining clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
- Report any significant issues or deviations from standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities for the shredder conveyor system.
- Monitor material quality and consistence throughout the shredding process, making adjustments as needed to meet production standards.

The successful applicant has the following skills and experience:

- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Be a team player
- Previous scrap experience (preferred)
- Be reliable and punctual
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have a hard-working nature and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Need a valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Must have a LF Forklift License
- Drug and Alcohol test (required)

**Salary**: $35.16 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:
