They have an exciting opportunity available for an **Assistant Director, Cyber Security Enablement and Delivery **to join their team. You will be required to support and contribute to the protection of the client’s systems, information, and environment with a focus on enabling delivery of cyber security projects and programs. You will lead and mentor a small team of administration and project management professionals assisting to manage cyber security activities for the client. Substantial engagement with both external and internal stakeholders is required.

This contract is for 6 months initially. The client offers a 7.5-hour day capped at 230 working days thus this is a good long-term package. The role is based in Richmond or Geelong in Victoria.

The role involves key responsibilities including:

- Leading and conducting projects and programs of work.
- Development, implementation and management of Cyber security resilience projects and programs of work.
- Completing section financial responsibilities such as tracking, reporting and management of the section budget.
- Development of IT security standards, policy, procedures, and controls to manage risks.
- Improvement of the client’s security positioning through process improvement, policy, automation, and the continuous evolution of capabilities.
- Performance of other related duties as assigned from time to time based on the business requirements.

**About you**

Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position. You will need to be able to pass an NV1 Security clearance (if you have security in advance this is highly recommended).

**Essential criteria**
- Demonstrated project management experience with relevant industry qualifications to at least practitioner level.
- Experience managing operational budgets within a government environment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- A thorough knowledge of key Australian Government cyber security frameworks including the Essential 8.
- Proven experience in dealing with technical and non-technical business teams in a Cyber GRC engagement context.
- Experience with or qualifications relating to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and contract management.
