Our established team of chef's will provide valuable guidance and experience throughout your apprenticeship, while our fun, professional and friendly work environment will provide a fantastic platform for your personal and professional development.

The Club here at Mermaid is only medium size offering premium customer service with amazing food, we have a history spanning more than 75 years and have won the most prestigious award “Australian Surf Club of The Year 2022”. With the naming of our Restaurant "Merlina's", the Club is excited by its achievements and now looking forward to summer 2023 and beyond.

**Key Responsibilities:

- **
Assisting with the organization and preparation of food in accordance with the menu requirements as directed by fellow chef's
- Utilizing various methods of cookery
- Producing a variety of high-quality dishes
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area
- A Team player mentality with excellent communication skills
- The ability to take direction, be open-minded and eager to learn
- Strong level of attention to detail and consistency
- A positive and professional attitude
- Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene
