Responsible for execution of all marketing and communication activities undertaken by the hotel including production and placement of advertising, online marketing, electronic and direct mail, media relations, database management, collateral production, partner marketing activities, promotional tracking and maintenance of the hotels sales and marketing strategy plan.

Assist the Marketing Communications Manager to execute all marketing activities to ensure the hotel is creating maximum awareness, revenue, and ongoing support across all market segments.
- Manage the online marketing function including updating of Westin website, uploading of special offers page and monitoring of both third party and competitor website to source new promotional opportunities
- Co-ordinate and liaise with advertising agency for the development of all hotel accommodation and food and beverage advertisements and strategic placement under direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing or Marketing Communications Manager
- Coordinate media, editorial and photo opportunities with local media contacts to promote marketing activities within the resort
- Execute all promotions targeting the various Marriott loyalty programs.
- Obtain quotes and coordinate production in line with budgeting guidelines and complete invoicing process.
- Attending monthly marketing and PR conference calls/webinars
- Order and conduct stocktakes of the sales and marketing collateral, ensuring strict adherence to the Westin brand standards
- Monitor brand standards throughout the hotel i.e hotel communications and material in general hotel areas
- Coordinate and generate donation prize certificates in line with hotel policies
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly Owners and General Manager’s report.
- Help and maintain a filing system for suppliers and marketing communications.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing Communications Manager.
- Produce special promotion vouchers
- Manage resorts photo library and conduct photography shoots where applicable including updating new images via Marriott Archive and liaising with Global Content
- Communicate all sales and marketing activities to relevant departments within the Hotel
- Act as administrative back up to sales team when need arises
- Identify new marketing opportunities for the hotel
- Keep all work areas clean and tidy in association with workplace standards.
- Meet the grooming standards of the hotel as set out in the Associate Handbook.
- Comply with and abide by all hotel polices and procedure and information as outlined in Associate handbook
- Comply with Marriott’s Worldwide Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Policy against Insider training at all times.
- To work as and where directed by Management plus follow all reasonable requests
- Knowledge and understanding of financial knowledge, controls, inventory, costs, expenses, and all cash handling procedures and policies.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all local Legislation.
- Be well versed and knowledgeable of The Westin Melbourne’s Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace. Ensure associates are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.
