Curtin English is the Curtin University English language centre based on the lively University Bentley Campus. Curtin English has 50 years’ experience delivering English to International students with 90% of our English Language Bridging students successfully completing their courses and moving on to Curtin University. Curtin English not only develops students’ English Language, but we also place emphasis on the importance of the social and welfare aspects of being an international student.
**Your new role**
Curtin English are seeking experienced and passionate English Language Teachers to join the team on a casual basis. Curtin English offers in-person and fully online General English and Academic English courses. Curtin English courses are engaging and current with accessible themes, ensuring a high quality student experience. You will have the opportunity to work with pathway students and support them through their journey to tertiary education.
**In this role, you will**:
- Teach English to international students on a pathway to Curtin University.
- Teach General English and Academic English from Intermediate (CEFR B2) to Advanced (CEFR C1).
- Teach on face to face and online courses (currently primarily face to face.)
- Provide a high-quality learning and teaching experience for Curtin English students.
- Undertake teaching preparation and administrative duties in relation to Curtin English courses.
- Attend academic and administrative meetings in relation to Curtin English courses.
- Show evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Work collegially alongside our experienced and creative team.
**To be successful in this role you will ideally have**:
- A recognised degree or equivalent and a recognised TESOL Qualification which includes observed teaching practice (such as Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College Certificate in TESOL) - _Essential_
- Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or Masters in TESOL - _Desirable_
