Overview:

Gallagher Bassett (GB) has six offices in Australia located in Northern Territory, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and employing over 1600 staff.

**Responsibilities**:
In the role of a Technical Manager you will provide professional and personalised technical support to the South Australian - Workers Compensation Operations, for the South Australian Community on behalf of Return to Work SA.

The Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical support to the SA Operations, acting as a Subject Matter Expert for internal stakeholders, the role is additionally responsible acting as a technical reference point & providing coaching and advice in accordance with local legislation and business unit procedures.

**On a day to day basis you will**:

- Assisting the claims teams in their achievement of KPIs & Service guidelines
- Review and provide feedback about current claim management practices and procedures
- Support the development of strategic initiatives and procedures to ensure all service, performance and compliance measures are achieved
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with the maintenance of organisational compliance with legal, governance and client requirements
- Facilitate and participate in the quarterly Technical Update Forum and the creation of the monthly technical newsletter

Qualifications:
**We are interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Workers Compensation, Insurance or Service Industry Experience
- Demonstrated technical claims management experience
- Experience in coaching and supporting others
- Knowledge of the Return to Work Act 2014 and associated case law
- Developed technical knowledge regarding claims strategies
- Previous experience as a technical specialist within all claim management segments
